How do I use Vital Plus?

Vital Plus is always given over food – not in drinking water (with the exception of garden ponds & aquariums). Three application methods:
As a course of treatment: Give over food daily for 14 days.
As a preventative measure: 2x per week as a regular supplement over food.
When BARFing: Give daily with food – the perfect natural supplement.

How is Vital Plus used – do I need to prepare anything?

Vital Plus is already liquid in the bottle – simply drizzle directly over the food. If the product becomes a little thick or too dry, simply liquefy it again with a splash of still water. Please do not use sparkling water.

The product smells a little – is that normal?

Yes, that is completely normal and even a good sign! 🌿
Vital Plus contains natural living bacteria that keep the product active and high-quality. These bacteria can sometimes form gases in the bottle, which can lead to a slight odor. This means: The product is active and fully effective.
What to do? Simply open the bottle briefly for about 2 minutes to allow the gases to escape – then use as usual. No loss of quality!

How long does Vital Plus last?

Vital Plus has no best-before date (BBD) – on the contrary: The older, the better! 🏆
The peat product has matured in nature for decades and becomes even more valuable over time. It remains permanently durable – completely natural and without preservatives.

What to do if Vital Plus becomes too dry or thick?

Simply add some still water and shake briefly – and Vital Plus is perfectly liquid and ready to use again. No loss of quality, the product remains fully effective.

Which animals is Vital Plus suitable for and how should it be used?

Vital Plus is suitable for all animal species – whether mouse or elephant! Always give over food:

  • 🐕 Dogs – drizzle daily over food
  • 🐈 Cats – drizzle daily over food
  • 🐴 Horses & Ponies – administer over food or directly
  • 🐄 Farm animals (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs) – give over food
  • 🐦 Ornamental birds & poultry / chickens – add a few drops directly to the daily grain or laying meal ration. As a course of treatment for 14 days daily, then 2x per week as a preventative measure. Do not put in drinking water!
  • 🐹 Rodents (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters etc.) – directly over food
  • 🐟 Fish & turtles – directly into the aquarium or garden pond
  • 🐘 Large animals – higher dosage directly over food

Basic rule: Always over food – only for garden ponds & aquariums directly into the water. The larger the animal, the more Vital Plus. If in doubt, simply ask us!

What is humic acid and why is it so valuable?

Humic acid is a natural active ingredient from peat. It strengthens the immune system, detoxifies the body, supports joints, muscles, coat and skin – 100% natural and without artificial additives.

Can I use Vital Plus for BARFing?

Yes – Vital Plus is the ideal natural supplement for the BARF concept. Simply give daily over food for optimal effect and maximum nutrient supply.

Is Vital Plus vegan and gluten-free?

Yes – Vital Plus is 100% natural, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free, without artificial additives or preservatives.

How are your croquettes made?

Our kibble is produced in a carefully controlled process – transparent, natural, and without unnecessary additives. The meat comes exclusively from the animal species indicated on the packaging, is minced, gently dried, ground, and mixed with real ingredients (potatoes, rice, vegetables). Completely free of artificial flavors, colorings, or MSG.

Is "cold-pressed" really better?

No – "cold-pressed" is a marketing term without real added value. Cold-pressed dry food undergoes the exact same manufacturing process as regular dry food. A truly "cold" pressing is not technically possible. At Kallisbest, we work without such semantic tricks.

What's behind the "fresh meat trick" of many manufacturers?

Many manufacturers advertise with "70% or 80% fresh meat!" – but fresh meat consists of approx. 70-75% water. After the drying process, only approx. 17-20% of the actual meat content remains. Kallisbest relies on meat meal: For 1 kg of meat meal, approx. 4-5 kg of fresh raw meat are processed – more honest and more nutritious.
